OUR VIBE Sounding Out with Kate

OUR VIBE Sounding Out with Kate

OUR VIBE Sounding Out with Kate.

I’m Kate Lewis, a sound practitioner living in Stroud in the Cotswolds, also recording as Whorl of Sound. As co-founder of

Crystal Sound Sanctum, I offer a beautiful sanctuary and emporium for sound training and the retail of Crystal Tones® quartz crystal singing bowls.

I was drawn to sound as a practice for personal healing during lockdown, in the sudden quiet that followed the absence of everyday community and work. In that stillness, listening became more attentive and revealing. I began making field recordings, foraging for natural sound and felt a clear pull towards deeper engagement with frequency. Alongside my long-standing guitar practice, I went deeper into mantra, toning, recording and connecting with sound communities.

Sound revealed its alchemical quality. Sound softens the ego, transforms dense emotions and opens the heart to something quietly sacred. Through advanced training in sound practice and gong mastery my confidence was renewed - not as a performer, but as a presence.

My passion lies in sound healing as a simple, yet powerful, way to listen inward and reconnect with ourselves to cultivate a more creative, imaginative and harmonious life.

At OUR VIBE festival goers expect Crystal Sound Sanctum: Resonance, Voice & The Imagination.

Step inside the Crystal Sound Sanctum for a 45-minute journey into the luminous world of crystal singing bowls, where sound is not just heard, but felt. I will share the beauty of Crystal Tones® quartz crystal singing bowls through live demonstration, exploring how crystal resonance supports deep relaxation, meditation and journeying with the imagination. Interwoven with sound are reflections on the felt experience of resonance in the body, alongside vocal toning - where crystal frequency and the human voice meet. This is a welcoming space for deep listening and practical insight for both seasoned practitioners and the crystal-curious.
