OUR VIBE Sounding Out with Dawn Clerkson

OUR VIBE Sounding Out with Dawn Clerkson

I’m Dawn — the Sound Healing Practitioner behind Sound Bath Kent and the teacher behind Shine Yoga & Pilates, based in North Kent. My sound bath sessions range from private group experiences — perfect for celebrations, hen weekends or gatherings where people want a moment of calm and connection — to one-to-one sessions for relaxation, clarity and stress relief, as well as corporate wellness events. I also run regular public sound baths across the region, weave sound healing into my own yoga and Pilates day retreats and am a guest practitioner at other teachers’ Yoga and Pilates retreats, bringing Sound Baths in as a deeply restorative complement to movement practices and full-day experiences.

My path into Sound Healing began unexpectedly, the first time I experienced a Sound Bath. It awakened a deep sense of tranquility and connectedness within me that I hadn’t realised was missing. Inspired by this powerful experience, I trained as a Level 2 Sound Healing Practitioner to further explore and share this transformative practice. I create spaces where people can step out of their busy heads, let go for a while, and feel held and supported by sound. Time and again I see how deeply it helps people settle, reset and come back to themselves.

What can festival-goers expect at your session at the WOW Festival?

A calm, deeply immersive sound bath — a chance to pause, lie back and truly rest within the energy of the festival. You’ll be gently guided into relaxation as waves of sound from Quartz Crystal & Himalayan Singing Bowls, gong and therapeutic percussion move through the space, helping your nervous system settle and your body soften. Expect to leave feeling grounded, spacious and refreshed — nourished by sound and vibration.
